Like everyone else, Daisy Shah is stuck at home because of the national lockdown.

While she's missing her regular life, she's also happy with a change it has brought on.

"I live right next to the highway, and there is usually such noise pollution. Living was so bad. But for the last 10 days, the roads are empty and it is so quiet," she tells Patcy N/Rediff.com.

What were you working on before the lockdown?

I was shooting for my film See You in Court, directed by Vishal Mishra, in Chandigarh.

Luckily, I had finished my shooting and I returned to Mumbai. After a week or two, the lockdown happened.

How are you spending your time at home?

I am a stay-at-home person, so it's not really much of a change, apart from my workouts. That is the only time I step out of my house when I am not shooting.

All the gyms are shut, so I am trying to do my workouts at home.

I have been walking up and down the stairs in my building 10 times in a day, so that covers my cardio.

Then we have a lot of housework to do.

I am trying to learn something, but I think cooking is not for me because I had cut bhindi and now, my fingers are acting up.

We cut almost two or three kilos of bhindi because we are five people in the house.

What shows/films have you been watching during this time?

I just finished watching The Vampire Diaries because I love this supernatural stuff... anything related to vampires and werewolves, count me in.

I am watching Altered Carbon.

Luckily, the second season has come in for all the shows that I am watching. Altered Carbon is about people living on a different planet and how they cope with their life.

I finished watching the period drama Vikings. I really liked it.

I have been watching a lot of teen films on Netflix like To All the Boys I've Loved Before and To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

That's how you keep yourself alive and young; these movies are feel good and about tender love.

The last Hindi film that I saw was on Netflix was Jai Mummy Di. I liked it, it's so funny!

What are you missing the most?

Things that I am missing are actually not good for me.

I have a sweet tooth and because everything is shut, I cannot go and buy pastries and cakes for myself, so that is good.

I am missing my gym and missing my Pilates and I'm trying to do as much as I can.

I miss long drives because I enjoy driving.

I like cycling too.

I miss my salon. I am so regular with my pedicures and manicures, I miss it.

Whenever I try to scrub, it's not that good. I have to go for a professional manicure and pedicure.

What's the first thing you will do after the lockdown is called off?

As soon as this is over, I will groom myself, go for a haircut, get a clean-up done, get a pedicure and manicure done...

I might grab some cupcakes, eat a McDonald's burger, go for a drive in the night.

I live right next to the highway, and there is usually such noise pollution. Living was so bad.

But for the last 10 days, the roads are empty and it is so quiet.

I'm getting used to this.

I have soundproof windows, but once the lockdown is over, I will have to call a professional and redo it.
