A reality television show went horribly wrong in Indore when a contestant, Anjar Khan, was seriously injured.

While promoting the new show, which will be telecast later this month, Khan was required to do an underwater stunt. But he could not get out of the water in time.

When the organisers managed to get him out, Khan had to be hospitalised immediately.

Speaking to rediff.com from Indore, D S Baghel, senior inspector at Tukoganj police station said, "We have called three people from the channel for interrogation. We are verifying on how this mishap took place and why no safety regulations were followed."

Earlier, a contestant from a Bengali reality show -- Shinjini Sen, 16 -- suffered from a neurological disorder and lost her speaking ability after she was humiliated by a judge on the show.
