Tom Cruise needs a director for the third part of the action thriller, Mission Impossible.

Joe Carnahan (Narc) has stepped down from the project owing to 'creative differences', according to People magazine.

The shooting schedule will remain unchanged and starts next month in Berlin. But the release date has been postponed from the first week of May to June 29, 2005.

Meanwhile, Superman has found a director!

Bryan Singer (X-Men) has replaced McG (Charlie's Angels), who opted out last week. And this has not been the first directorial replacement for the superhero. Before McG, Tim Burton and Brett Ratner also tried, unsuccessfully, to start the film.

Meanwhile, one does wonder how Superman will affect Singer's other upcoming films like X-Men 3 and Logan's Run.
