A few hours after Irrfan Khan passed away on Wednesday morning, the legendary actor was buried at the Versova Kabrastan, close to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri West, north west Mumbai, where he spent the final moments of an incredible life.
His wife, two sons, relatives and friends paid their final respects to an actor without parallel in world cinema.
Tigmanshu Dhulia, one of Irrfan's oldest friends, directed him in Haasil, his breakaway film, and Paan Singh Tomar for which he won the National Award for Best Actor.
Vishal Bhardwaj, right, directed Irrfan in three films: Maqbool, 7 Khoon Maaf, Haider. Irrfan also acted in Talvar, which Vishal produced.
