Actress Riddhi Dogra talks to Rediff.com contributor Rajul Hegde about her stint in Khatron Ke Khiladi – Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns.
Television actress Riddhi Dogra was recently eliminated from the television show Khatron Ke Khiladi – Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns.
"We were anxious during every stunt but I really freaked out during this cockroach and snake task (the elimination task),” Riddhi explains.
“I am not scared of cockroaches but I hate them. It was an easy stunt but I couldn’t focus on the task as the cockroaches were biting and running all over my body. I just didn't want to do it.”
The actress says she doesn’t have any phobias, but just wanted to test herself by going on the show.
“I believe that if I put my mind to it, I can do anything. I also realised that I’m really not scared of anything," she says.
She said she has lived a safe life.
“I don’t drive in Mumbai because of potholes and heavy traffic, and don’t play squash because many of my friends have been hurt during the game. I wanted to see if I could push my limits if I am put in a situation like this,” she adds.
She thinks she did “pretty well”, has got more courage and is “wiser mentally”.
The Maryada and Savitri actress says she wants Asha Negi to win because she is mentally strong.
“Asha and I have been friends from before (they were both in Nach Baliye) so it helped that we had each other during our stay. Among the guys, I admire Hussain Kuwajerwala. He does his stunts with precision and clarity," she says.
The host of the show, filmmaker Rohit Shetty is a good person and a good host, she says. “He would tell us stories of film making, taught us self-defence technique and we had loads of fun on and off the location.”
Riddhi has no new fiction shows lined up.
Maryada and Savitri challenged her as an actor and she doesn’t want to work just for the money. She would like to do more dance reality shows though.
“I enjoy dancing. I thought I would learn it professionally, but that didn’t happen. It's my biggest dream to pursue dance and finish my dancing course. I would definitely take part in more dance shows if I am offered them,” she concludes.
