Drishyam
(Malayalam)

 

Jeethu Joseph-directed Malayalam Drishyam released in 2013 to much critical acclaim and box office success.

Veteran star Mohanlal and Meena played the protagonists.

The film went on to become the highest grossing Malayalam film of all time.

Drishya

 

The Kannada remake of the film was commissioned soon after the original's release and was directed by P Vasu.

Released in 2014, Drishya starred Ravichandran and Navya Nair.

 


Drushyam

 

The Telugu remake, directed by Sripriya and jointly produced by Daggubati Suresh Babu and Rajkumar Sethupathi, followed suit the same year.

Actress Meena reprised the role in the Telugu version opposite Venkatesh's male lead.


Papanasam


 

The Tamil version, released over a month before it's Hindi counterpart, starred real life couple Kamal Haasan and Gauthami as leads.

Esther Anil played the youngest daughter in three versions of the film.
