In a landmark decision on Monday, November 10, the Supreme Court allowed women to work as make-up artists in the Indian film industry.
Earlier, Cine Costume Make-up Artists and Hair Dressers Association (CCMAA) mandated that women could only be hair dressers and not make-up artists.
Madhur Bhandarkar welcomed the decision and tweeted: 'Welcome judgement by Hon. Supreme Court allowing women make-up artistes in film fraternity. The discrimination was unhealthy & uncalled for.'
Producer Ashvini Yardi added: 'Kudos to Charu Khurana for challenging and getting the ban lifted on female makeup artists in Bollywood.'
Shabana Azmi returns to Hollywood
Actress Shabana Azmi, who has featured in Hollywood films like Madame Sousatzka and City of Joy, is currently shooting for her next English film The Black Prince in England.
She shared a picture of herself with co-star Satinder Sartaj and tweeted: 'As Rani Jinda with Satinder Sartaj as Duleep Singh in The Black Prince.'
Directed by Kavi Raz, the film tells the tragic but fascinating story of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last king of the Sikhs.
It will also feature David Essex, Jason Flemyng, and Rupert Everett.
'Interstellar is paisa vasool'
Celebrities who watched Christopher Nolan's latest film Interstellar took to Twitter to praise the Sci-Fi drama.

Actress Twinkle Khanna is the latest Bollywood celebrity to jump on the Twitter bandwagon.
One of her closest friends from the film industry, Karan Johar welcomed her.
He tweeted: 'Akshays gorgeous wife....my childhood best friend and named Rani's character in k2h2 after her is on Twitter!! TINA!!! @mrsfunnybones.'

2011 film Rockstar will complete three years on November 11 and its' actress Nargis Fakhri is in Prague to celebrate the anniversary.

The shooting for Karan Dara's Khamoshiyan is over.
Producer Mahesh Bhatt shared a picture of the team and tweeted: 'Home come my Heroes! Film shooting of Karan Dara's Khamoshiyan ends in Cape Town.'
Vikram Bhatt, who has written the film, added: 'The road to the release of #khamoshiyan gets tougher. Now for vfx and sound. Jan 23rd around the corner!'
The horror film will star Ali Fazal, Sapna Pabbi, and Gurmeet Choudhary.
