It was literally a case of partying on the job for Shah Rukh Khan on his 50th birthday on November 2, as hidden cameras shot scenes of frenzied fans outside his home Mannat. This will be incorporated in his latest film, Fan.

Fan, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is the story of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his fan, also played by Shah Rukh. A trailer showing the superstar’s fan avatar was released on his birthday.

"Certain specific shots and scenes from Shah Rukh’s birthday crowds will be incorporated into the film," says a source. "For example, the shot of Shah Rukh emerging from his car at the Mannat gates, blowing kisses from the car’s collapsible rooftop, and shots of fans trying to shake his hand will be incorporated into the film."

But Shah Rukh’s son AbRam’s interaction with the crowds will not be included.

"AbRam was a rock star at his dad’s birthday," the source adds. "He waved to the cheering crowds from the Mannat balcony from his father’s lap. After the father-son duo went back inside, AbRam returned after some time to continue waving."
