'Victory' Venkatesh is basking in the glory of his latest film
Bodyguard's success. Lately, he's been preoccupied with the Celebrity Cricket League.
His future projects include
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and a film with Mehar Ramesh. Later on in the year, the superstar will begin shooting for a film on Vivekananda.
In Telugu, Venkatesh re-started a trend of working in two-hero projects with
Eenadu where he teamed up with Kamal Haasan. Now he will be acting with Mahesh Babu in
Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC
) directed by Srikkanth Adala
(of
Kotha Bangaru Lokam fame).
Venkatesh says
SVSC is "a solid film and of a different genre" where he and Mahesh Babu play brothers.
"Audiences want to see solid, wholesome entertainment drama. I'm waiting to work with Mahesh.
He has excelled himself in acting and is charming too. Srikanth Addala is a hard-working boy who has done a lot of detailing. It's a wholesome film filled with emotions and will touch the sentiments of the old and present generations," Venkatesh says.
After
SVSC, there is a film with Mehar Ramesh on the cards. "Mehar is keen on doing a stylised action film with strong emotions. Mehar, along with Kona Venkat and Gopi Mohan, has come up with a good formula, a good action film that has high and glossy production values with good locations."
The superstar has been spiritually-inclined for many years and has been reading works of the great
gurus and saints. The time has finally come for him to do a film on Vivekananda, a person he greatly admires.
"This film, directed by Mani Shankar, will begin in September. I've already been influenced by Vivekananda. He's so strong, powerful and fearless. His teachings are a dose of dynamite."
