Director Aashiq Abu has been known to use Facebook to market his films. But some of his comments have irked certain groups, like his note against Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam for instance.

Now the director, whose latest film Idukki Gold is due for release on October 11,

has run into another controversy.

Two posters from the film, one with Lord Shiva and Che Guevera smoking grass, and another with two joints forming a cross, have been receiving brickbats from virtually everyone.

Aashiq has clarified that “the original posters of the film are the ones on my Facebook page and the rest of the posters being circulated under our name have been created without my knowledge.
