National award-winning director Lenin Rajendran's forthcoming film Edavappathy is about the plight of Tibetan refugees who have been denied entry into their homeland by the Chinese.

The shooting of the film started in Coorg in Karnataka where there is a considerable Tibetan population, and has now shifted to Munnar.
