Pandiraj created history with his very first film
Pasanga, produced by producer-director-actor Sasikumar of
Subramaniapuram fame.
Pasanga first won the Golden Elephant Award for Best Director at the 16th International Children's Film Festival in 2009.
The film was judged the best Tamil (regional) film at the national level. Pandiraj won the Rajat Kamal Award for the Best Dialogue Writer and Master Sriram and Master Kishore from the same film were chosen as best child artistes.
