It's the turn of the scion of another film family to enter the world of Telugu cinema. We are talking about Allu Sirish, the grandson of the late Allu Ramalingaiah, the son of well-known producer Allu Arvind, and the brother of Allu Arjun.

Sirish was looking after production and also a film magazine before the arc lights beckoned.

Sirish has chosen the bi-lingual (Telugu-Tamil) Gauravam as his launch vehicle.

The film is directed by Radhamohan, who made Mozhi, Abhiyum Naanum, and Gaganam/Payanam. It is produced by Prakash Raj's Duet Movies.

Yami Gautam, the heroine of the acclaimed film Vicky Donor (who had also acted in the Telugu film Nuvvila last year),
is the leading lady.

Naga Chaitanya and Varalakshmi (Sarath Kumar's daughter) were originally signed up to play the lead pair in Gauravam. When they both opted out of the film, Sirish stepped in.

Nasser, L B Sriram and Pavitra Lokesh are part of the cast. BVS Ravi is helping out with the Telugu version in terms of writing. Preeta is the cinematographer and S S Thaman is the music director.

The film is about the caste system and hierarchy.

It went into production in June and is being shot in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. As of now, the movie is scheduled to release in November.
