With the future of the movie-theatre business plunged into deep uncertainty, many Bollywood producers are thinking of releasing their films on the digital platform.
But Reliance Entertainment has taken a decision to release its pending films -- Rohit Shetty's Sooryavanshi and Kabir Khan's '83 -- only in theatres.
"They will wait. They can afford to. Sooryavanshi and '83 are the kind of films that will bring back audiences into the theatres after the pandemic," a source tells Subhash K Jha.
Sooryavanshi is now looking at an Eid release while '83 may be release at Diwali.
Other potential big-screen blockbusters like Laal Singh Chadha, Gangubai Kathiawade and Bramhastra may spill over to the next year, depending on how long the virus plays villain.
