Sooraj Pancholi is getting ready to whip off his shirt for the climax of his Bollywood debut, the Hero remake, to be shot next month.

The young actor apparently wants to do a Salman Khan during the climactic fight.

“It was director Nikhil Advani’s idea. Just as audiences expect Salman to go shirtless for at least one shot, Nikhil wants to conceive Sooraj as the hero who goes bare-bodied in every film. Earlier, Sooraj was supposed to fight with his shirt on but now it goes off. Besides, it's a Salman Khan production. Agar hero shirt na nikaale toh woh hero nahin (If the hero doesn't remove his shirt, he isn't a hero),” says a source.

To ensure that Sooraj’s Hero is as heroic as Salman, a song composed by Meet Brothers, was shot last week in Mumbai where Sooraj would be introduced to the audience.

The songs and dance, choreographed by Ahmed Khan, will be as dreamy and romantic as the Salman’s in Maine Pyar Kiya.

Says a source from the film, “Sooraj is being packaged and presented as the next Salman Khan. For his introductory song, the film’s official music composers Sachin-Jigar were asked to step back and the Meet Brothers were brought in to create a good first impression.”

The song starts off with Sooraj dancing with a frenzied crowd when his co-star Aathiya Shetty joins him.
