The event, being organised by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India, is aimed at promoting Indian talent on a global platform.
The show didn't have a brand ambassador last year but this year will see Sonam walk the ramp for the inaugural show. Spread over five days, Jewellery Week will be held at the Grand Hyatt and will showcase collections from different designers and design houses.
Sonam, who was also present at the event wore a striking black Atsu Sekhose gown and posed for shutterbugs.
