Sonam Kapoor is likely to be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute in Mumbai for treatment. Haresh Pandya reports from Rajkot.

Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor, who was admitted to Sterling Hospital in Rajkot on Saturday morning after being detected with the H1N1 virus, flew to Mumbai on Sunday morning for further treatment.

Sonam Kapoor, has been shooting for a Rajshri Productions’ film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, along with Salman Khan and Anupam Kher in the erstwhile princely state of Gondal for the last few days, on Saturday morning complained of “uneasiness” and showed “signs of viral infection”.

Sonam was flown to Mumbai by a special air ambulance along with her mother Sunita Kapoor, who had arrived in Rajkot on Saturday evening. Sonam's mother was briefed by critical care expert, Dr Chirag Matrawadiya, of Sterling Hospital

"Sonamji has accepted her illness graciously and has supported us well," Dr Matrawadiya said. "As the infection is still in the primary stage, there is no reason to worry."

The actress told Dr Matrawadiya that she might have been infected by the H1N1 virus while working with her personal trainer, who too has also been diagnosed with swine flu.

While most actors who are part of the film were staying at the Riverside Palace in Gondal, Sonam had put up at Hotel Firm in Rajkot.

Despite not being in the best of health, the Khoobsurat star willingly shot several scenes, including a song sequence, with Salman at the Riverside Palace.

On Friday morning she complained of sore throat and high fever. She was taken to Sterling Hospital and medical tests confirmed that the actress has been afflicted with H1N1, or swine flu.

All the unit members of the film, including Salman, have been made to undergo a medical check-up by the state government health authorities.

It is learnt that Sonam is likely to be admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute in Mumbai for further treatment.

With Sonam down with swine flu and the judgement in Salman's alleged illegal arms case (the megastar was allegedly involved in hunting down two blackbucks near Jodhpur in Rajasthan during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998) to be pronounced on March 3, the rest of the shooting of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, may be in jeopardy.
