Sonam gets ready for Veere Di Wedding

Sonam Kapoor is in no hurry to cash in on her Neerja triumph. She has signed on just one film since.

Sonam is working on sister Rhea's next production, Veere Di Wedding, to be directed by Shashanka Ghosh. Ghosh had directed Khubsoorat for the Kapoor girls earlier. 

Veere Di Wedding also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.

"I am doing Rhea’s production but I am not playing the central character," Sonam confirms. "It’s an ensemble cast. For me, the interest level in a character is not dictated by the number of scenes in which I am visible. I had a 25-minute role in Delhi 6. 

"Boman Irani said something really great when he came to visit the sets of Neerja. He said there are no big or small roles: only big or small actors."

Sonam specifies that the project is neither a screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel The Battle Of Bittora nor is it a project entitled Saat Hindustani, which Rhea is keen to produce.
