A sessions court on Friday directed the authorities at the Arthur Road Jail, where the actor is lodged since his arrest in June this year, to provide medical treatment and admit him to a hospital if the need arose.
The 36-year-old actor, who was produced before the court on Friday, was seen limping and taking the support of two constables as he was not able to walk. Ahuja was arrested on June 15 for allegedly raping his domestic servant at his residence in suburban Oshiwara.
The court will hear the arguments of the prosecution and the defence on the framing of charges against the actor on October 7.
The court had on Friday rejected the application filed by Ahuja's lawyer on September 23, the day earlier set for framing for charges, seeking copies of the forensic reports of the actor and the victim.
The actor's counsel had claimed that the semen stains found on the victim's body did not match with the DNA sample of Ahuja, a contention that ran counter to the police charge-sheet, which claimed that the two DNA samples did match.
