Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja will be produced in Mumbai's Andheri court on Monday morning after he was accused of raping his domestic help.
On Sunday night, Shiney's 18-year-old maid accused him of rape, when both of them were alone at his flat.
The complaint was registered at Oshiwara police station and police reached Shiney's flat last night when he was partying with his friends. They charged him under section 376 of the IPC and Shiney spent Sunday night in the lock up.
Niket Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner Police, Mumbai confirmed that a case was registered against Shiney Ahuja and investigations were on from their side.
The maid was employed at Ahuja's home since 45 days.
According to her statement to police, Shiney's wife and child had gone out when the incident happened.
Known for his reclusive nature, Shiney is always considered as an outsider to industry as he has come from Delhi to become an actor.
Shiney has acted in hit films like Gangster and among other well-known films he did were Hazaron Khwaishen Aisi and Woh Lamhe.
At present Shiney has five films in hand, The Migration, Har Pal, Take Two, Chalo Movie and Accident.
