Shahid Kapoor has to look like a warrior in his coming film Padmavati, so the actor has created a makeshift gym in his vanity van to be regular with his workout regime.

In Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama, Shahid essays the role of Raja Ratan Singh, the husband of Padmavati, played by Deepika Padukone.

The Udta Punjab star, who is shooting for the film at odd hours, was not getting time to hit the gym and decided to create a personal workout space with basic equipment.

Shahid, 35, has been doing a lot of functional training and calisthenics. He is also on a strict diet.

The shooting for the film, which also stars Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, is under way at a suburban studio.
