'Salman has a responsibility not only to himself, but to hundreds of crew members who would be on the set.'
'He won't return to shooting even though lockdown restrictions are now lifted to a degree.'
Even as Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan are shooting for their films in London and Turkey respectively, Salman Khan has decided to discontinue all shooting until the coronavirus pandemic subsides.
"Salman doesn't want to take any risks," a source tells Subhash K Jha.
"He has two films on the anvil. Radhe: India's Most Wanted has just five days of shooting left whereas Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is yet to start shooting. Salman has decided to put both on hold until the atmosphere is relatively safer."
"Salman has a responsibility not only to himself, but to hundreds of crew members who would be on the set. He won't return to shooting even though lockdown restrictions are now lifted to a degree."
One of television's superstars Ronit Roy, meanwhile, is facing the severe consequences of the lockdown.
"It is becoming difficult for me to pay my staff," Ronit says. "But it is also my moral obligation to do so. I'll somehow manage, no matter what it takes."
Career-wise, everything has come to a standstill, he adds.
"I was supposed to start shooting for a couple of Web series. But before I could, the lockdown happened and all activities froze. Now everything will have to wait until life normalises," he says.
"I have a day's shoot left on Yash Raj's Shamshera(with Ranbir Kapoor). There's a lot of shooting left for Karan Johar's Fighter," he adds.
Discussing the way out for the shoots to resume, Ronit has a suggestion: "The solution for now is collecting the entire cast and crew in one shooting location, where they would be housed until the shoot is over, avoiding travel and commuting back and forth and thereby avoiding any contamination during travel."
"Let producers make arrangements for the entire cast and crew to be together until the shoot is wrapped up."
