Not Taimur, yaar.

Ibrahim, Saif Ali Khan's elder son, is all set to take the plunge into acting.

A fine cricketer in the mould of his grandfather, the legendary Mansur Ali Khan 'Tiger' Pataudi, Ibrahim had a choice of making a career in cricket or acting. He opted for the latter.

And his dad is all for it.

"Ibrahim seems prepared for a career in acting," Saif tells Subhash K Jha.

"And why not? I'd like all my children to be in this profession. It is the best place to work in. I remember at 17-18, I was a mess. Acting saved me from self-destruction."

"Having the job, the sense of identity it has given me, the job satisfaction and the enjoyment it has given me are more than I could ask for," he adds.

Saif's daughter Sara is already a popular actress.

It remains to be seen whether Ibrahim is an instant success as an actor like his mother, Amrita Singh (her debut film Betaab was a blockbuster) and sister Sara (Simmba was a superhit too).

Or will his career be like his father's, whose first film Aashik Awara was a slow starter?
