For the few who don't know, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is a hit reality show telecast on Zee TV, where contestants -- amateur and professional -- from all over India test their singing skills.
Debojit, from Assam, and Vinit, from Lucknow, will compete for the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge in the show's Grand Finale today.
Hours before the event, Debojit is calm and collected. "Whatever I've achieved is more than enough," he says.
Jarring notes in the Sa Re Ga show

"I'm only thinking of my singing and how to do my best. I'm really excited about singing the song my mentor Ismail Durbar has composed for me. It's a Sufi gana -- very, very soulful. Ranjit Barot has arranged it. I never thought I'd stand in front of so many thousands of people, including some of the biggest musicians and stars, and be watched by millions of people at home. It's a dream come true," adds the lad from Assam.
War of the music composers, literally
In contrast, Vinit seems confidence personified.
"No, I'm not nervous, but very excited. We are rehearsing hard and I'm feeling good about the finals. I have a great line-up of songs for the Grand Finale, including One love, Kaal dhamaal, Badshah and Chand tare. I also have a duet, Just chill, with Himani," he says.
"But the big one for the evening is the song that my mentor Himesh Reshammiya has composed. It's a soft melodious Indian ballad which mid-way goes into a cool Western interlude. It's very challenging," he adds.
When I tell him that the show's producer-director Gajendra Singh claims they have received 400,000 SMS votes for the two finalists, Vinit stops to think. "That much? I guess the Grand Finale is much bigger than we thought. Yes, I'm confident of winning."
