After Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa Akbar, historicals seem to have caught on in the Hindi film industry. Now, it's Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari's turn to produce and star in a Hindi film on the founder of the Suri dynasty, Sher Shah Suri.

Bollywood has often made films on Muslim rulers but they have been mostly restricted to the Mughals. Now, Tiwari is exploring beyond that.

According to sources, the actor

is already in talks with the former Maharaja of Amethi, Sanjay Singh, to lend his palatial residence for the film shooting.

For those who want a historical background on Sher Shah Suri, the king ruled Delhi briefly and is credited to have built the Grand Trunk Road in the 16th century, which connects Bengal to the North West Frontier Province.

The yet-untitled film will be shot in Sasaram, Bihar, where Suri was born and where his tomb lies today.
