Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital early this morning, after falling off a bike.

According to sources, the 52 year old was riding a new bike owned by a colleague when he skid and fell.

He fractured his jaw and sustained minor bruises. It is learnt that the director will be undergoing a minor surgery for the injuries later today.

Aamir Khan later took to Twitter to update: 'For all those concerned about Raju Hirani, I have just met him in hospital. He is doing fine, and will be discharged this evening.'

The director's latest film, PK, which released last year was a huge blockbuster. He is currently editing his upcoming production Saala Kadoos, which stars R Madhavan.
