Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, undergoing treatment in Chennai for gastrointestinal and respiratory problems, was shifted out of the ICU to a private ward on Sunday evening.
A hospital bulletin said he was taken to the private ward around 7 pm but did mention when the "Endhiran" star would be discharged.
"He is cheerful and is spending time with all the family members and is watching cricket (on TV) keenly. His vital parameters are stable. However, visitors are strictly not allowed, as per doctors' advice," the bulletin said.
The 61-year-old actor was admitted to the private Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre on May 13 and moved to the ICU five days later for intensive close monitoring and treatment.
The hospital had on Saturday said that the actor's vital parameters returned to normal.
