Rahman's new tune for Worldspace

One of India's greatest music composers, A R Rahman has now become brand ambassador for Worldspace in India. He has begun his new role by composing a signature tune for the radio service.

The tune draws inspiration from the sounds of nature and our everyday lives. Rahman has woven in lyrical sounds of the sea, a bird's call, the chant of fishermen and more.

At the launch, he said, "I wanted to bring alive the true sounds of India as a showcase of the depth of musical traditions in the country."

Worldspace is a world leader in satellite-based digital radio services, with over 40 stations providing entertainment and information.
