One of Malayalam cinema's most successful actors Prithviraj Sukumaran turns 34 on October 16.

Son of popular Malayalam actors Sukumaran and Mallika, Prithviraj made his acting debut in Ranjith's 2002 romantic drama Nandanam. It was a huge critical and commercial success.
The actor has since worked in over 80 Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies with top directors like Lohithadas, Mani Ratnam, Kamal, Rosshan Andrrews and Bhadran. His phenomenal success earned him the tag of ‘young superstar’.
Prithviraj’s brilliant performance in films like Celluloid, Ayalum Njanum Thammi and Vaasthavam won him the Kerala State Award for Best Actor.
Prithviraj turned producer with the historical drama Urumi, directed by Santosh Sivan, in 2011.
In the same year, he won the National Award as a producer for his film Indian Rupee. A satirical film by Ranjith Balakrishnan, the film starred Prithviraj as well.
The actor is currently producing a thriller titled The Great Father starring Mammootty and Sneha.
Prithviraj’s elder brother Indrajith is also a well-known actor. They have worked together in several films like Classmates, Oruvan and Bachelor Party.
His sister-in-law Poornima Indrajith of Meghamalhar fame is a successful actress.
Prithviraj is married to a reporter from BBC India, Supriya Menon.
They have two-year-old daughter named Alankrita.
Prithviraj worked with Mani Ratnam in the Tamil version of Ravanan, starring Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Abhishek Bachchan reprised Prithviraj's role in the Hindi version of the film.
Prithviraj is currently working in Shivam Nair's action thriller Naam Shabana. The film is a sequel to Neeraj Pandey's 2015 film Baby.
The year 2015 turned out to be a great year for Prithviraj. He had three back-to-back hits: Ennu Ninte Moideen, Amar Akbar Anthony and Anarkali.
Prithviraj’s latest film Oozham -- directed by Jeethu Joseph -- opened to rave reviews and has become a huge hit. It marked Prithviraj’s second collaboration with the director after the 2013 crime thriller Memories.
