The legend was accompanied by wife Saira Banu as they made their way out of Mumbai's Lilavati hospital.
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who turned 92 today, was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavata hospital where he was admitted last week for a chest infection.
As the actor stepped out of the hospital, he was greeted by anxious fans, who had come to enquire about his health and wish him on his birthday.
"Dilipsaab is feeling great now and does not require to be in hospital. So we have discharged him," Dr Jalil Parkar, a well-known pulmonologist, who treated the veteran actor at Lilavati hospital, said.
"He will only continue with his routine medication now which he has been taking due to his age," he said.
The actor was admitted to the hospital on December 6 after he complained of cold and breathlessness. He was later diagnosed with bronchopneumonia.
Uday Tara Nayar, a family friend and co-author of the actor's autobiography, said, 'Dilipsaab is fine now. He has recovered well."
