People who know Anil Kapoor are impressed by how down-to-earth he is.
The actor, who now lives in the posh suburb of Juhu, still considers himself the boy from Chembur in eastern Mumbai, where his parents used to live in a locality called Tilak Nagar.
Kapoor, an ambassador for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat initiative, visited Chembur yesterday to launch the Swachh Chembur, Swachh Mumbai project in collaboration with the city's civic authorities.
The actor visited chawls near Chembur railway station and spoke to the locals to help them understand the importance of a swachh (clean) India.
He later posted pictures on his Twitter account and wrote, 'Back to where it all began...Time to make my home clean & healthy! #SwachhChembur #SwachhBharat every small step makes a difference! @Plan_India @swachhbharat'
