The launch of Smita Patil's authorised biography, written by Maithili Rao, called Smita Patil: A Brief Incandescence was timed to coincide with her 60th birth anniversary on October 17.
The event took place at the Sofitel hotel in Bandra-Kurla Complex, in the western suburb of Mumbai.
