CNN reports that Cruz's publicist says the couple got married at a friend's house during a trip to the Bahamas earlier this month. Only family members were present at the small ceremony, CNN adds.
Amazingly, both Bardem, 41, and Cruz, 36, have won Oscars for their critically acclaimed work: He, a best supporting actor award for his role in 'No Country For Old Men'. She, a best supporting actress award for the aforementioned Vicky Cristina Barcelona'.
The couple began dating in 2007. Earlier, Cruz was romantically linked to actors Matthew McConaughey and Tom Cruise.
