Osment, 18, was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as a boy who could see dead people in "The Sixth Sense," was driving his 1995 Saturn when he lost control and collided with a brick pillar.
Police sources said the collision caused the vehicle to flip over onto its roof. Osment was conscious and spoke to the police when he was rescued from the wreckage, they said.
