Oscars 2015: Hollywood stars react to their nominations
January 16, 2015

Celebs' reactions poured in for 2015 Academy Awards after they were nominated in the various categories.

Nora Grossman, Ido Ostrowsky and Teddy Schwarzman, producers of The Imitation Game, said that much gratitude to the Academy for recognising the movie in eight categories, Deadline.com reported.

Rapper Common, who has given the music score for the movie Selma has said that he feels incredibly blessed to receive this honour from the Academy.

When he first started in hip hop, he never imagined that a day like this would come.

Writer-producer of The Theory of Everything Anthony McCarten is a double nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay and as a producer

in the Best Picture category.

The biggest challenge McCarten says he faced on the film was first convincing Eddie Redmayne that that he was the right man to bring the great scientist, Stephen Hawking 's life story to the screen.

Resse Witherspoon, who has been nominated for Best Actress for Wild, said that her role of Cheryl Strayed's memoir was about a journey to make peace over the sense of grief she had after her mother died and her self-destructive behavior and there were a ton of studios interested in making the film as soon as it hit number one. But the main reason why she made it outside the studio system was because she wanted to get it made and strike while the iron is hot, to actually streamline the production.
