'We had always planned it as a trilogy of Stree films.'
Stree's unexpected success has enthused the team into tackling the sequel sooner rather than later.
But wait, there's more.
A third part to the spooky saga is also being planned.
Confirming the news to Subhash K Jha, Stree's Co-producer and joint creator (with his long-time collaborator Krishna DK) Raj Nidimoru says, "We had always planned it as a trilogy of Stree films. It was always written as a series of three."
"At that time," Raj adds, "we had no idea it would be so successful. Now that Stree has gone beyond all expectations, the curiosity about what happens next has mounted even higher. We are definitely going ahead with the sequel."
It isn't certain if Amar Kaushik who directed Stree or Raj and DK will direct the sequel. The duo are committed to directing the sequel to Go Goa Gone.
"But the sequel is definitely happening," promises Raj.
