'We didn't even become friends -- she was always shy. (I) appreciated her hard work (but we) didn't have deep conversations.'

Hrithik Roshan clarifies his stand once again.

Kangana Ranaut has been quite vocal about her alleged relationship, the split and her legal entanglements with Hrithik Roshan.

Hrithik, meanwhile, had maintained a silence over the matter but finally spoke up a month later. He first wrote a lengthy Facebook post, explaining his stand.

Later, he went on national television, and spoke about the controversy in some detail.

He also spoke with Bhupendra Chaubey of CNN-News18 of the harassment and emotional trauma he has been facing.

Here are some pointers from the interview:

"Met Kangana first while shooting Kites.

Gave her advice when she solicited advice from me.

Have never met one-on-one with Kangana in my entire life.

If there is even one witness who can say that they have seen the lady and me one on one you can go against me with all your might.

Have my phone records for the past sevn years, records of SMSes -- 35-40 SMSes from me to her in seven years -- about the release of the film and her birthday.

We didn't even become friends -- she was always shy. (I) appreciated her hard work (but we) didn't have deep conversations.

I have never owned that account; have had only one email account my entire life. All of this can be verified. (I) Have surrendered all my devices phones so that it can be verified.

My intention of the police complaint is not to attack her. Police complaint (is) purely for my protection so that there is no harassment.

Claims need to be verified by cybercrime; not leave anything to the imagination.

I always saw her as a very shy person.

2014-15-16 I was a single man at that time.

After reading these emails and the pictures that she was sending, I could have asked her to come over but if I had done that I couldn't have fought this.

I would have been crucified.

I could have made this a huge deal I didn't want that.

I kept ignoring it but it wasn't easy.

I spoke to a lot of people including then Commissioner Javed Ahmed, who instructed me not to have a one on one meeting; she could then said they threatened me.

I have higher goals in my life; can't have such distractions if you want to reach there.

2014: It was in my inbox.

2015: I started hearing about this affair that is going on. People were completely convinced (and were) having fun.

2015: I started getting bothered that this was going to blow up.

2016: She faces camera and calls me a 'silly ex' when she was asked about me ousting her from a film Aashiqui 3 that didn't exist.

Friends at that party had the original pictures.

I am a public figure; every single moment of my day is recorded.

Men have been very, very brutal to the feminine. I was made to bear the cross for all the brutalities that my gender has made to women.

People don't get divorced only because of infidelities by the man.

Seven years or one night stand, you will have some exchange isn't it simple?

Have never been physical, never been one on one never had a deep conversation...

Investigation is on and can take years; her devices haven't been submitted.

I am being harassed. As a father, I need to do something about this. My kids go to school, have friends and may be teased.

'No means no' -- does that just apply to a girl?

At no point of time did I want people to rally for me. If they spoke up, I felt gratitude."
