One more controversy for Aamir's Rising

The Rising seems to have a knack for making waves for the wrong reasons.

First, its lead heroine Aishwarya Rai quit unexpectedly from the project. Soon, Sahara India Pariwar, whom Aishwarya is associated with, withdrew its association from The Rising.

Now, co-producer Entertainment One (besides Bobby Bedi) has washed its hands off the film. A report on mid-day.com reveals that The Rising will now be produced by Bobby Bedi and director Ketan Mehta.

Manmohan Shetty and Pravin Nischol of Entertainment One refused to divulge the details for taking this step.

The Rising, featuring Aamir Khan as Mangal Pandey, will be filmed in three schedules at Pataudi, Pune and Uzbekistan.

Ghai gets back to business

After the debacle of his last film Yaadein, Subhash Ghai returns to direction with Kisna: A Soldier Of Humanity.

A snippet in b4utv.com reports that Ghai has started shooting for ambitious venture, starring Vivek Oberoi and new find Isha Sharvani.

Set in the 1930s, Kisna will feature music by A R Rahman and Ismail Durbar. Ashok Mehta and Bhanu Athaiya are in charge of the cinematography and costumes respectively.

Ghai's other production, Aetraaz, to be directed by Abbas Mastan has Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in key roles.

Ajay Devgan in Satish Kaushik's next

Recently, Rajkumar Santoshi announced his decision to make Prithviraj Samyukta with Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai.

Meanwhile, Devgan continues to gather accolades for his performance, including, his negative avatar in Khakee

Now, Devgan has bagged another assignment under Satish Kaushik's direction.This is the first time that Devgan and Kaushik will be working together, reports indiafm.com.

Other cast members are still being considered.

As an aside, Devgan's wife Kajol worked with Kaushik in the hit drama, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain co-starring Anil Kapoor.
