Mallika Sherawat: Two hot to handle!

Mallika Sherawat won audiences over with her sizzling act in Govind Menon's Khwahish.

In fact, much of the credit for the film's success belongs to this newcomer.

Now, she will be seen in a double role in Menon's next film, Double Attraction. This film, too, will revolve around the actress, and will see her play both a conservative and a saucy woman.

Sherawat will also be seen in an Indo-French project, opposite a British actor.

Anupam Kher off to shoot with Ash

Anupam Kher's debut international venture, Gurinder Chadha's Bend It Like Beckham, won him accolades. Now, the actor will be seen in her next film, Bride And Prejudice. The actor left early Thursday for the UK to shoot for the film. He will return in September.

The film, also starring Aishwarya Rai, Namrata Shirodhkar, Vivek Oberoi and The Ring star Martin Henderson, is an adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice.

Meanwhile, Ash and Vivek are already in the UK -- in Wales -- shooting for Samir Karnik's film, Kyon... Ho Gaya Na!

Mehul Kumar's new cause

A year ago, a mentally challenged minor was raped in a local train in Mumbai, late at night, while five commuters looked on.

Now, Mehul Kumar (Tiranga, Krantiveer) plans to make a film on the incident.

Tentatively tittled Jaago, the story will be written by K K Singh, who had collaborated with Kumar on Tiranga and Krantiveer.

The film will star Manoj Bajpai, Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Kapoor and is expected to go on the floors July 15.
