Rani in Subhash Ghai film

Rani Mukerji has been signed opposite Akshay Kumar in a Subhash Ghai production to be directed by Abbas-Mastan.

Though Chalte Chalte, Shah Rukh Khan's third home production, did not fare well at the box-office, Rani's performance has been appreciated.

Raveena Tandon in Ishq Samundar

Raveena Tandon has been signed to play the leading lady in Ishq Samundar - Love Or Trap, directed by Kawal Sharma for Sriti Productions. The film will be co-produced by Sriti V and Sanjay Malmal. Sanjay Suri will play the male lead. Six songs of the film have been recorded. The shooting for the film has not started yet.

Richa Pallod beats Bipasha Basu

Richa Pallod (who made her film debut in the box-office dud, Ravi Shanker's Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahe, opposite Fardeen Khan) has bagged the Absolut Vodka commercial.

A few actresses were considered for this commercial, but the fight had come down to Pallod and Bollywood siren Bipasha Basu.

Rajpal Yadav weds Anita

Rajpal Yadav, Ram Gopal Varma's discovery in Jungle (Fardeen Khan, Urmila Matondkar) has tied the nuptial knot with Anita.

A simple ceremony took place at Mumbai's ISKCON temple. The two had met in Canada recently, where Rajpal was shooting for Anil Sharma's Rs 55 crore (Rs 550 million) film, The Hero: Love Story Of A Spy, produced by Time Magnetic.
