The latest updates from the Tamil film industry.
Rumors about Nayanthara and Trisha coming together for a film have been doing the rounds since December last year.
Director Vignesh Shivan of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan fame was keen to sign the two leading ladies of Tamil cinema for his next film tentatively titled Kaathuvaakkula Irandu Kadhal.
But with Trisha demanding a better remuneration, at least 75% of what Nayanthara was being paid for the film, the project failed to take off.
Nayanthara is believed to be the highest paid actress down South.
However, the latest buzz is that all is well and director Vignesh has managed to negotiate a deal with Trisha.
The film is believed to be a love triangle and will have the talented Vijay Sethupathi romancing the two heroines.
AM Ratnam’s Sri Saai Raam Creations will bankroll the project.
An official announcement is likely to be made soon.
