Nagarjuna turns singer

The latest updates from the Telugu film industry.

Akkineni Nagarjuna is the latest superstar to join the bandwagon of actors singing in films.

He recently crooned a song for Nirmala Convent, produced under his banner Annapoorna Studios, which will mark the acting debut of Srikanth's son Roshan.

Nag was completely at ease mouthing lines like, 'Kotha kotha Bhasha, Kotha prema bhasha, Neeku naaku Madhya, aksharalu levu, dictionarylu levu, grammar aine lede,'

A video was also shot wherein Nag was joined by Roshan towards the end. 

The lyrics have been penned by Ananth Sriram and the music is composed by Roshan Saluri.

Sekhar Kammula's back!

It has been a while since Sekhar Kammula directed a film.

His last bi-lingual films Anamika (the remake of Kahaani in Telugu) and Nee Enge En Anbe in Tamil, released in 2014 and did not receive the expected response.

Now, Sekhar has written a script for which he has cast Varun Tej (whose Kanche did well) and Premam fame actress Sai Pallavi.

The big budget film will be produced by Dil Raju.

Sekhar had script reading workshops with the lead pair sometime ago, and the film is likely to go on floors in August.

Hunterrr to be remade in Telugu

Adult comedy Hunterrrr, starring Gulshan Devaiah and Radhika Apte, will now be remade in Telugu.

This film revolved around a character with a strong libido.

Srinivas Avasarala (who is a director too) will be reprising Devaiah’s role and Regina Cassandra will play Apte's character.

The film will be directed by debutant Naveen.
