When human rights campaigner and LGBTQ activist Peter Tatchell shared a tweet praising Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, he got a reply from none other than American President Donald J Trump!
The tweet read, 'A new #Bollywood rom-com featuring a gay romance is hoping to win over older people, following the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Hurrah!'
Trump replied with 'Great!'
Now, Ayushmann Khurrana, who stars in the film, is pleasantly confounded by the 'honour'.
"I was surprised," he tells Subhash K Jha. "But then, he needs to project a liberal image. So yes, we are flattered and honoured. I think Mr Trump should definitely watch this film. Yes, more than anyone else, he needs to see it."
From Trump to the aam junta, it has been a weekend of fabulous responses to Ayushmann's new film.
"I was in Lucknow on Saturday for an event and got a chance to hear first-hand what people have to say about Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. We wanted it to be a happy entertaining film, not a message-heavy product."
