A lowdown on what's going on in the Telugu film industry.

Veteran scriptwriter Vijayendra Prasad seems to be the man of the moment.

He has scripted two of the most successful movies recently, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Prasad is known in Telugu for his scripts which his son SS Rajamouli has turned into blockbusters.

Through Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prasad has carved a name for himself in the Hindi belt as well. Known for his wide-ranging scripts, Prasad has now found a mention in Forbes!

Sai Dharam Tej’s Subrahmanyam for Sale to release on September 24

Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of megastar Chiranjeevi is doing a film called Subrahmanyam For Sale under the direction of Harish Shankar (of Gabbar Singh and Ramayya Vastavayya fame). Harish has also written the script and dialogue for the film, while Ramesh Reddy and Satish Vegesna have written the screenplay. The film will release on September 24.   

Regina Cassandra, who paired with him in his second film, Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, will act with Sai Dharam Tej again. Subrahmanyam For Sale is produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations.

The others in the cast include Kota Srinivasa Rao, Prithvi and Rao Ramesh.

Mickey J Meyer scores the music, C Ram Prasad is the cinematographer and Goutham Raju is the editor.
