In director V K Prakash’s latest film Silence, Mammootty plays a lawyer who has been elevated to a judge. The film, which also stars Anoop Menon and Hindi TV actor Pallavi Chandran, opens tomorrow (November 7).

Silence is a family thriller, in which Mammootty plays a lawyer named Arvind Chandrasekhar, who is based in Bangalore. A serious issue comes his way before he takes charge as a judge and the film narrates how he unveils the mystery,”

says V K Prakash.

Silence, produced under the banner of Aysha Films, is VKP’s (as the celebrated ad filmmaker is known) third release of the year after Netholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla and Thank You.

He has also directed Mazhaneerthullikal, with Meera Jasmine in the lead, which is expected to reach the screens soon.

“It has been indeed delightful to work with Mammootty. He is so dedicated to his job as an actor,” says VKP.

Silence has been scripted by Y V Rajesh.
