Mammootty to clash with son Dulquer?

The latest updates from the Malayalam film industry.

If reports are to be believed, Malayalam cinema is heading for an interesting father–son battle on May 20.

Rajeev Ravi’s Kammattippaadam starring Dulquer Salmaan will release on the same day as his father Mammootty’s White.

Kammattippaadam is said to be a period film wherein Dulquer sports various looks, including a salt and pepper one.

White, directed by Uday Ananthan, has been shot extensively in London and has Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi playing Mammootty’s heroine.

Vineeth Sreenivasan turns producer

After his stint as a singer, actor, scenarist and director, Vineeth Sreenivasan turns producer with Ganesh Raj's Anandam.

Vineeth’s banner has been named Habit of Life.

The film, featuring newcomers, has already gone on floors.

Meanwhile, Vineeth’s latest directorial venture, Jacobinte Swargarajyam, is having a spectacular run at the box office.

Abrid Shine’s next to be set in a campus

Photographer-turned-filmmaker Abrid Shine has directed two acclaimed film called 1983 and Action Hero Biju.

1983 was based on the love for the game of cricket and Action Hero Biju narrated what goes on inside a police station.

In a recent interview, Abrid Shine has stated that he has now started work on a film, which has campus as its backdrop.
