A lowdown on all the goings-on in the Malayalam film industry.

Ranjith’s Loham, starring Mohanlal, is the first major release during the Onam season.

The film is coming almost a week ahead of the other releases, Kamal’s Utopiayile Rajavu, starring Mammootty, and Lijo Jose Pellissery’s multi-starrer Double Barrel.

Ranjith has been given credit for the hugely popular 'super human' image for Mohanlal and Loham is believed to have all the ingredients to make the hero’s fans ecstatic.

Loham is rumoured to be about gold smuggling, with dramatic twists.

Mohanlal and Ranjith have created magic at the box office with films like Devasuram, Araam Thampuraan, Raavanaprabhu and Narasimham

Loham has been cleared by the Censors with a 'U' certificate.
