First look: Diljit Dosanjh in Udta Punjab

After Shahid Kapoor, the first look of Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh’s look from Udta Punjab has been revealed.

Alia Bhatt ‏shared the poster, above, and wrote: ‘Dilgit Dosangh A.K.A Sartaj!! #UdtaPunjab #UdtaDiljit’

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film will release on June 17.

On the sets of Veerappan

Sachiin Joshi, who is shooting for the last leg of Veerappan, shared a picture from the sets, above, and wrote: ‘#on sets of #Veerappan last few days of shoot @ushajadhav along with @lisaraniray doing a fantastic job,with @rajsingharora @nissar_khan..@rgvzoomin getting the best out of them.’

Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, the film is based on the life of the famous sandalwood smuggler Veerappan. It will release on May 27.

Taapsee goes retro for Ghazi

Taapsee, who plays a refugee in Sankalp Reddy’s Ghazi, has resumed shooting for the film.

She shared a picture from the sets, above, and tweeted: ‘"Hi aami Ananya bolchi" #onshootfun #Ghazi #vintage #1971.’

The film is based on the true incidents on the mysterious sinking of PNS Ghazi, a Pakistan submarine during the Indo-Pak 1971 war. It also stars Rana Daggubati.

British Indian filmmaker Gurinder Chadha has roped in AR Rahman to compose music for her film Viceroy’s House.

‘In chennai working with the amazing @arrahman on the score for my @ViceroysHouse can life get anymore inspiring #GeniusAR,’ Gurinder tweeted.

Meanwhile, she caught up with filmmaker Mani Ratnam, and posted a picture, above. ‘Managed to grab lunch with one of the the greatest film director in India today,’ she tweeted.

After wrapping up the shoot for his Tamil film Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta, Dhanush is enjoying his time off in Turkey.
