A day before the launch of the Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi's trailer, the makers treated us to lovely visuals from the film, which is based on J Jayalalithaa's life and politics.
The pictures show Kangana's transformation from actress to chief minister.
Thalaivi depicts the varied stages of Jayalalithaa's life, and Kangana writes about her challenges while playing her: 'Gaining 20 kgs and loosing it all back within a span of few months wasn't the only challenge that I faced while filming this Epic Biopic, wait is getting over just in few hours Jaya will be your forever.'
Thalaivi brings us the struggles of Jayalalithaa's life from a rising star to the face of Tamil cinema, later emerging as the leader who shaped Tamil Nadu politics over 30 years.
The team employed make up experts from Hollywood to get the required look for Kangana as well as Arvind Swami, who plays M G Ramachandran, Jayalalitha's movie and political mentor.
The trailer will release on Kangana's birthday, March 23.
The film releases in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on April 23.
