Lata Mangeshkar, one of India's most celebrated singers, turns 78 today.
Not many know that Latadidi started her career as an actress as well as a singer in the Marathi film, Pahili Mangalagaur (1942).
She has been contributing to Indian cinema for the last 66 years, and lent her voice to all the leading ladies, right from Madhubala and Nargis to Madhuri Dixit and Priety Zinta.
